Claire has been presenting to parent audiences in the city and rural and remote parts of Western Australia since 2008. As a former educator, deputy principal and tutor at Edith Cowan University, she is well aware of the topics and issues that are front of mind for parents and carers in 2025.
Coaching tweens, teens and parents for the last 17 years has also given Claire a privileged front row seat to teenage trends and patterns and needs of families.
Many parents who have attended Claire’s presentations say “It felt like you have been living in our home,” or “It was as if you could read my mind.” This is a huge compliment as Claire aims to make her sessions relaxed, relatable and down to earth so everyone can take a seat, listen in without enduring beat around the bush kind of information, and leave after 90 minutes with at least three usable parent-friendly tools or tips that can be used to to hit the reset button, improve or change a situation.
With extensive professional depth and varied life experience, Claire simply wants to stand on the stage, share good stuff with parents who are doing their best and have taken the time to show up, despite busy schedules and go go go demands of life. The juggle is real, so if parents are going to come along with coffee in hand after a long day, it’s got to be worth their while!
Claire is often invited to talk about:
Stress and overwhelm and how to keep families buoyant and on track
Organisation skills and teaching independence and autonomy at home
Friends, group dynamics and the impact of group chats, apps and online connections
Leadership, goals and the purpose of high school. (motivation unwrapped)
Life balance between sport, school, friends, families, technology and a part time job
Handling success and failure and everything in-between
Thinking styles to navigate the ups and down of high school
Understanding emotions, regulation and the delicate care of teen self-esteem
Brain changes and milestone development stages and phases
Mindset, energy and procrastination
Before and after school routines, planning and encouraging age appropriate independence
Resilience, pushing through and owning your own choices
Beginnings of school reluctance, avoidance and refusal
This list (is just the beginning and is no way complete) is a fine example of the eclectic mix of topics schools ask me to speak around at a parent night.
Claire commonly receives emails from school staff emails asking:
“Can you help our parents understand more about organisation and things they can do to help?” The answer is YES!
“Are you available to present on strength and self-care and some tools our boarders can use away from home?” The answer is YES!
“Wondering if you can present on the beginnings of school avoidance when things feel hard and kids begin to struggle. Is the a topic you can talk about?” The answer is YES!
If you have a topic on your mind and you want to chat with Claire about the way she can blend, mix and swirl up-to-date research, key theories and ideologies, excellent information and practical take-home strategies parent will find helpful, be in touch here or fill out the form below. The keynote speaker was exceptional.

Claire was very responsive to Escare’s needs and we really appreciated Claire travelling to our town for our Esperance families. We are looking forward to inviting Claire back in the near future.
We would love to (and have booked) to have you back again, Thanks so much for working with our young carers.
Claire’s energy is contagious – she is a great advertisement for thinking positively. Lots of wonderful reminders and tools to use in my own thinking. It was also pleasing to see so many of our Carers clearly absorbed in Claire’s session and so delighted in what they had learnt.
Claire is a most engaging speaker and the content was seamlessly delivered in a format all could understand. I would recommend sessions with Claire.
